"Pentecost and More 2008" Launched in North Jamaica Mission
"Pentecost and More 2008" was officially launched in North Jamaica Mission by Pastor Michael Harvey, President of North Jamaica Mission, on Sunday July 29, 2007. This was held at the Brown's Town Seventh-day Adventist Church, St. Ann.
Pastor Glen Samuels, President of the West Jamaica Conference was the keynote speaker. In his message, he spoke of the four lepers in 2 Kings 7 who were persistent and brave in the search of something better, and were willing to face death in order to change their circumstances.

Pastor Michael Harvey, President of North Jamaica Mission, in his overview of the Pentecost and More impact in North Jamaica Mission, implored all to keep connected to God for the spiritual growth and fervor in soul winning. He stated that the baptismal goal for North Jamaica Mission, which is comprised of 15 pastoral districts, is 750. Each pastoral district will therefore lead at least 50 new persons to a saving commitment with Jesus.

Representatives from West Indies Union were also in attendance and gave presentations on different aspects of the Pentecost and More 2008 programme.
Pastor Desmond Robinson, ADRA Director and Prayer Ministries Coordinator, spoke on Spiritual Revival and Renewal of Faith; Pastor Joseph Barrett, Publishing Ministries Director, spoke on Training and Equipping Members; Sister Junie Parchment, Women's Ministries Director, gave a presentation on every woman being mobilized; Pastor Joseph Smith, Vice President of Membership Conservation gave pointers on How to Keep our Members. Pastor Enell Hall, Minsterial Secretary along with all other representatives from West Indies Union, declared that they stand ready to assist the churches and will be present at the various districts launches on August 26, 2007.




The service ended with prayers of commitment by Sisters Patricia Allen, Shepherdess Coordinator of West Indies Union and Vivienne Quarrie, Associate Personal Ministries Director and Associate Education Director of West Indies Union
